We started with a special pancake breakfast, then opened presents (among them a German Bobby Car--a model very similar to the one I and my brother rode many many years ago) before making cupcakes and different party food yummies. Woohoo--my little baby, who's now a toddler, had a real party! He loved the company (but hated the party hat), and he thoroughly enjoyed his birthday cupcake while his guests sang "Happy Birthday" in German, English, Russian, and Greek.
The biggest moment for this momma? Conrad stood on his own and without support, for the first time. The boy's growing up!
Sweet! I can't believe it's been a year! He looks so happy (well, in most of the pictures). Happy Day!!
ReplyDeleteAren't they growing too fast? On the one hand it's wonderful and on the other it just seems to go by too fast!
